Obviously the B ends don’t have too many choices, Because those good quality but very classic items can’t sell good in the market like before.
Price talks in the market.
Yes, it does , the cheap ones always take a large majority of the sales.
But why the good quality items are narrowing down to very little space in the market. Even some famous brands started to make new ranges targeting “lower quality with lower price”
Is it because the inflation that everything is so expensive and the consumers start to scale back?
Partially !
But those best sellers in social media are not cheap. They looks fabulous , they are functional, they seem to solve all the users’ needs in one item, And if you asked if it is worth to buy from a view of a manufacturer and the B ends? Probably NO! Because many of them look good outside, but get bad quality inside.
From my personal shopping experience of building materials and home decoration items,every time I searched a new product, sooner or later I was overwhelmed by the top ranking items with similar look and very cheap prices from different brands or owners.. It was a disaster because I wasted a lot of time to compare and still can’t find out which one meet up my standard, or I wouldn’t even find the ones that I wanted.
So you see.. who kidnapped the B ends and the C ends? And who make bad money drive out good? It is those technology company that engaged in e-commerce, cloud computing, online advertising, it is the so call smart push operation rules of those big e-commerce platforms.
But the technology is good itself , basically is because the rules of target is just to catch up with KPIS without care of customer needs and coexistence of differences.
No sales, no traffic! No traffic , no sales! Vicious cycle for the web shop owners.. and then forcing the B ends to make all similar items available, price may be better and better, but quality is worse and worse.
To be Honest, when Online Shopping becomes the mainstream, how can the B ends to avoid immersing into such above situation is a matter of life or death for long term opportunities
Make your brand talks can be an option? But how?
From my point of view,even online shopping can lead your business all around the world, but for B ends, making differentiated designs and getting down to the local customer needs is one of the ways out.
